Right-wing Media Launches An Anti-Gore FilmNot Evil Just Wrong: In search of the truth about global warming
Is it possible everything we've learned about global warming until now, is false?
A panel of five experts met at the Heritage Foundation recently and declared an all out war on Al Gore’s 2006 film, An Inconvenient Truth, a documentary film in which former Vice President Al Gore claimed human beings are responsible for the global warming crisis by simply over populating the earth and through the constant burning of fossil fuels, such as oil, gas, and coals. Gore and environmentalists claim that burning coal, gas, or oil increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, causing temperatures to rise. This, environmentalists say can be dangerous, because increased temperatures have been known to cause catastrophic damage to the earth. To combat Gore's theory about global warming, Irish filmmakers Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, produced the film Not Evil Just Wrong, which boldly shoots down the left's theory that the earth is heating up as a result of human activity, calling Gore's film exaggerated and untrue. Not Evil Just Wrong Expected to Reveal Nine Errors in Al Gore's Film, An Inconvenient TruthMcElhinney explained that the film was produced, as a way to educate citizens about the data presented in Gore’s film, which she claimed contains nine major errors. The film Not Evil Just Wrong questions extreme environmentalism and challenges Gore's philosophy that sea-levels will rise up to 20 feet in the near future, and that low-lying pacific atolls have already been evacuated, including other key points that Gore says supports his side of the global warming debate. Based on their findings, McElhinney argued that the film should be banned from being shown in American schools. McElhinney also explained that this is the first step in taking back American schools. “Today is day one of this campaign. They don’t allow you to teach religion in the public schools of America, but there is a religion being taught without parents’ permission and it is a religion that is not based on anything factual. It is a green religion,” McElhinney said. “Systematically, all over America children are being told as fact that there are too many people living on the planet. There isn’t one shred of scientific evidence to back-up that nonsense claim.” The U.S. House of Representatives Pass the Cap-and-Trade Emissions BillDespite the right's continued argument about global warming, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a Cap-and-Trade Emissions Bill intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 17 percent by 2020, according to an Open Congress Summary Report released earlier this year. In addition, the bill poses stiffer regulations for new renewable requirements, such as utilities, sequestration technologies, new carbon capture and incentives for energy efficiency homes and buildings. Conservatives Chief Complaint about the Cap-and Trade Bill Hurts American Families FinanciallyIn light of new regulations, the conservative panel presented a chief argument claiming, such restrictions placed on CO2 emissions would cause more harm than good. Thus, arguing the average American family would face financial hardship through employment layoffs, and that developed and developing countries would also hurt financially by driving up the costs to go Green: A clean energy initiative spearheaded by the left. In the end, the panelists agreed that Gore’s global warming frenzy is only a ploy to raise money for green policy initiatives. In the meantime, they claimed that more lives will be lost due to Gore's global warming scare. "Three hundred and seventy children die every day in Uganda, because of environmentalism, McElhinney said. "Let's call it for what exactly it is, if it wasn't for environmentalists those children wouldn't die." McElhinney is asking parents to contact her in an effort to learn more about what teachers have told their children concerning global warming. Also, McElhinney hopes the film is received in schools across America in an effort to educate children about what she calls, global warming hysteria. Since the release of the film, McElhinney says she has received two death threats for her views on global warming.
